Vicki Johnson
Vicki Johnson is a children’s book author and a 2022 Lambda Literary Fellow. Johnson’s debut picture book Molly’s Tuxedo, illustrated by Gillian Reid, is a 2024 NCTE Charlotte Huck Award Recommended Book, a 2024 ALA Rainbow Book List selection, a 2024 Children’s Book Council K-2 Top Ten Teacher Favorite, and a 2023 Ontario Library Association Top Ten ‘Best Bets’ Picture Book. It’s also a 2024-25 nominee for Maine’s Chickadee Award, the children’s choice award for picture books. Molly’s Tuxedo was published by Little Bee Books in their partnership with GLAAD. Johnson is a first-gen grad of Smith College and Emory University Law School, and studied Writing for Children & Young Adults at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
